The
Harmony Series is one of two communities at Camelot Homes'
Cortile at Palm Valley in Goodyear.
Harmony homes, priced from the low $400,000s to the low
$500,000s, have the same attention to detail that characterize
Camelot's more expensive communities. You'll find arched
doorways, pop-outs and cutouts, among other features.
In April, Camelot garnered the grand award as home builder of
the year during the annual Marketing and Merchandising
Excellence awards competition held by the Home Builders
Association of Central Arizona.
Floor
plans: Four plans ranging from 2,116
to 3,541 square feet.
Model highlights
• Plan 45-14, 3,541 square feet, three bedrooms, two stories.
At about 10 by 16 feet, the nook is large enough to be the main
dining room, albeit an informal one. It will be convenient to
have; the formal dining room, which is even bigger, at nearly 14
by 17 feet, is a jaunt from the kitchen. You have to walk
through the kitchen, the nook and into one side of the family
room before getting to the dining room. There's a butler's
pantry option, but it doesn't access the dining room. Think of
it more as storage.
• Plan 45-13, 2,991 square feet, three bedrooms, two stories.
The master suite is on the first floor; the other two bedrooms
are upstairs. Need more bedrooms? You can convert the
second-floor bonus room and the first-floor den. (If you need a
home office, the den is ideal. It's at the front of the house
and separated from the other rooms.) You also can add an
upstairs suite (to make a total of six bedrooms), as shown in
the model.
• Plan 45-12, 2,512 square feet, four bedrooms, one story.
This plan feels more open than the previous two. That's because
the kitchen, dining room and great room are combined into one
large, square room. Open the sliding doors to the patio for an
even larger indoor-outdoor space.
The oval foyer, which is an option, is dramatic, especially as
shown in the model. The option turns the foyer into an art
minigallery.
Design tip: It's called wallpaper, but that doesn't mean
you can't put it on the ceiling. Take a look at Plan 45-13's
upstairs bedroom, which has a ceiling covered in eye-catching
green and black wallpaper. The wallpaper extends about 15 inches
down the walls. Wallpaper border and white molding have been
used as transitions between the wall paint and wallpaper.
Subdivision highlights
• Most lots have premiums.
• The community is gated.
• The exterior architecture varies according to plan and
includes country French, ranch and early California.
